Day to Day Stuff

Canberra District Wine Week – News and Events

I thought I’d share a couple of article, links and events for the week that is Canberra District Wine Week. Many others have done all the hard work, I shall just put it all together in a way so as to produce major #FOMO

I know I’ll be red and white wine with jealousy as I watch all who venture out to the massive amount of events over the week, which starts on the 31st March with two events – Premium wine tasting at The Canberra Winehouse and a HUGE tasting of local Shiraz (swoon ❤️🍷) at  The George Bar and Dining. See Canberra Wines for details about both.

And finishing on the 9th April with a long  leisurely lazy lunch with Capital Wines at the Wandering Goose.

Don’t be fooled by the few events I’ve mentioned above, there are literally 100 events planned for the first 9 days of April. All that wine 😱 For all events visit the Canberra Wines events page for everything in between and good luck choosing which event tickles your wine fancy the most!

If you can’t choose, Jil Hogan from Good Food has picked her top 7 events, which will probably make your job easier.

What am I excited for? Oh, yes it’s Ladies Night! I’ll be heading to the Girls Night Out at Palace Electric Cinemas for a sesh in Canberra Wines from Kerralee Wines and Shaw Vineyard Estate and the lovely filum The Dressmaker. And some cheese, you can’t forget the 🧀

Did you know that there is also the Harvest Festival happening at the same time as Canberra District Wine Week?

Oysters unplugged at Mount Majura Vineyard sounds fanflippintastic! The boys from Ralston Bros and Oysters Unplugged serving up their succulent morsels alongside MM’s Riesling or Silurian. Sublime ❤️

Cheers, Canberra, happy and safe drinking!
